About Anna Stubbs – UK Artist & Creator of Original Artwork

Welcome to Anna Stubbs Artwork. I am a UK artist with a unique journey—from Medical Secretary to doctor, Emergency Medicine specialist, and now a creator of original artwork. My career has taken me from bustling hospitals to scenic landscapes across Cumbria, Cambridge, and beyond, all of which inspire my work as an artist in the UK.

Art has always been my sanctuary, especially during the more stressful times in my medical career. What began as a relaxing hobby with botanical watercolours and graphite soon evolved into a true passion for creating and sharing original paintings. My early botanical watercolour paintings remain close to my heart, but as my confidence grew, I began to explore detailed graphite pieces and expressive oil paintings. Each new medium has helped me develop my skills and artistic vision.

With the encouragement of family and friends—and because I ran out of wall space at home—I started offering my artwork for sale. I now create a variety of original pieces and take art commissions, bringing personalised visions to life for UK collectors and art enthusiasts. Creating commissioned artwork is an exciting process that pushes my creativity and allows me to connect with people through my art.

Setting up this website, annastubbsartwork.co.uk, has been a significant learning curve, and I’ve decided to share my experiences through a blog—perfect for anyone wanting insight into selling art online or tips for UK artists starting their own journey.
